Hello Star-buddies,
Following on from last nights meeting - welcome to all new visitors to both the Hall and the website - I have the following info for anyone interested in the talk at Huntingdon Hall, Worcester on Monday 19th November at &.30pm. The talk is by Professor Jocelyn Bell Burnell - You are made of Star Stuff. All info including map and booking office details are available on website www.huntingdonhall.com/boxoffice.asp or phone the Box Office on 01905 611427, payments by cheque or credit/debit card or cash (in Person).
:oGood luck to Chelsea on landing the role of Press Officer - if anyone has anything they want publicised in the local press they can liaise directly with him by e-mail (Click on members at top of home page for contact details).
LOGO COMPETITION
;)All entries to be original, in monochrome (for ease of scanning onto stationary etc.,) postcard sized and to be brought to next meeting on 4th December, when we'll have a display of designs and a vote. A #10 booktoken will be awarded for the selected logo.
It would be good if you could bring anything relevant to CometHolmes to the December meeting so everyone can have a gander, photos, press cuttings etc. On the same theme, Nic mentioned last night that on 8th November from early morning onwards, I think 4 a.m. was mentioned, all the planets will be able to be seen.
The overview of the virtual planetariums was good, if anyone else has used them perhaps we could start a review on our website and give them a rating (star, of course) on ease of use, accessibility, clarity etc.
???If anyone has suggestions for topics they would like covered at future meetings please submit via the website or at the next meeting.
Anyway I hope you all enjoyed last night and found it informative, looking forward to seeing you at the dark site on the next clear Friday.
Bye bye for now
Jules
